Welcome to Restoran Darussalam Subang Jaya, a cherished gem nestled in the bustling enclave of Subang Jaya, Selangor. As one of the renowned Indian Muslim restaurants in the area, this establishment tantalizes taste buds with an impressive array of comforting Malaysian and Mamak delicacies. With a warm ambiance and a menu that showcases a fusion of flavors, it's no wonder this eatery has been a beloved choice for locals and visitors alike.
Located at No 1 & 3G Jalan, Jalan SS 15/8b, 47500 Subang Jaya, Restoran Darussalam effortlessly combines tradition and modernity. The restaurant is a haven for late-night food enthusiasts, often bustling at odd hours with patrons eager to indulge in midnight cravings. Whether you're stopping by after a long day or simply in the mood for a late meal, the irresistible aroma wafting through the air assures you of culinary delights.
One of the highlights of the menu is their Nasi Goreng Mamak (MYR 9.30), a fragrant fried rice ensemble spiced to perfection with chili paste and soy sauce, complemented by crunchy fritters. For those who enjoy flat rice noodles, the Kuew Teow Goreng Mamak + Telur Mata (MYR 11.60) is a must-try. The blend of fresh vegetables and savory flavors makes it a dish worth returning for.
The restaurant is revered for its Nasi Lemak, often hailed as one of the best in the region. From the classically served Nasi Lemak Ayam Goreng Berempah to the exotic Sambal Sotong, each plate resonates with textures of creamy coconut rice, crispy fried anchovies, and perfectly cooked eggs that make for an enticing meal at just RM 11.50. Many diners laud the sambal for its delightful kick and the fried chicken for its spicy goodness, making it a crowd favorite.
No visit would be complete without sampling the famed Roti Canai, with options ranging from traditional flaky bread to innovative variations like Roti Telur Cheese (MYR 9.00). These breads pair beautifully with dhal, making for a hearty experience you won't want to miss.

6/5/25 3.30am. today very quiet. Staff clearing up. Nasi lemak ayam was smaller than usual today, only left drumstick. Still same price as from 2024 RM11.50 25/3/2025 3.20am and still loads of people here. Ikan bilis is now hard instead of light and crunchy but ayam goreng is still divine and served hot. Sambal has gotten spicier also. When it's past 2am, the best place to get a decent rice meal or Indomie Goreng is in Darulsallam. Been here for decades in various degrees of dirt, noise and ingrates. If you're smart, stick with nasi lemak. Surprisingly fluffy santan rich rice, generous amounts of crunchy deep fried anchovies, crispy cucumber and creamy centred sunny side up egg for RM5.50. The ayam goreng is good too. Sadly spaghetti Bolognese was cold soggy pasta that had the mouthfeel of bleh, like noodles soaked and forgotten in a bowl.of.lukewarm water. The sauce had minced meat but did not have any seasoning, no salt, no herbs, no pepper. Stick to the tried and tested. Indomie Double RM8.30 really IS just Indomie with the sauce packets added.

26/9/2025 This Nasi Lemak Ayam was previously viral in many social media, today finally here to try it. The rice tasted ok, using basmathi rice but not very fragrant. Sambal was good, not very sweet. As for the fried chicken, it's crispy and quite good. Maybe was expecting it to have more spices taste since they pressure fried it. But it was just ok. Overall this Nasi Lemak Ayam Goreng is still good, comes with fried egg and lots ikan bilis. Nasi Lemak Ayam Goreng 7/10 Rm11.50

We stopped here at around 12 a.m. and the place was still packed with customers. Took awhile for our food to arrive but the quality was there. The second floor was a bit of a shock due to the unique stair layout but it was a nice touch to the restaurant

I ordered Nasi Lemak with fried chicken and dine in at upstairs with good view. The chicken is fresh from the tray and the rice is basmathi which is unique for their Nasi Lemak. Will definitely come here again! (Visited date on 26 June)
